Wholesale Operations Controller

We are recruiting for a Wholesale Operations Controller to lead the Direct Shipments and Customer Service team. As the Direct Shipment and Customer Service Controller you will ensure that your team meets all deadlines designed to allow the movement of goods from our logistics operations to our wholesale customers.

The Role

  • Oversee all relevant customer booking in processes and documentary requirements and seek to continually modernise our own systems to match
  • Together with the Logistics function review a new customer’s SOP and on-board into our operation
  • Provide senior management weekly updates and shipping performance reports 
  • Control and oversee the new quarters sample dispatch and manage the release of stock for our timed launches
  • Manage the assignment of stock locations to sales order headers in a timely manner
  • Prioritise work load release to our pick and pack operations worldwide and in conjunction with the Logistics Manager agree the allocation of resource to process orders on time
  • Manage the distribution of stock where we are in deficit ensuring key customers receive a viable allocation
  • Oversee all relevant customer booking in processes and documentary requirements and seek to continually modernise our own systems to match
  • Authorise stock returns from customers and control the issue of credit notes. Making sure the timely resolution of customer claims for incorrect deliveries
  • Ensure total visibility of stock in freight agents and ensure its optimised release to our customers and their agents
  • Undertake any duties that are assigned to you that fit your skill set

About You

You will be the point of contact for all wholesale customer operations, you will be liaising with the Planning/Production and Logistics department. You will have experience managing a medium sized team and an expert in wholesale/sales administration processes. 

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience managing a medium sized team
  • Have an eye for detail, with strong delegation experience
  • Able to run several projects concurrently
  • Experience of an ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Excel - intermediate/advanced

Flexible working shifts – Our core shift hours are from 8am – 10:00am, i.e. employees can choose to work 8-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm, 9-5:30pm etc. plus 30 mins early finish on Fridays
