PURPOSE:
The Planning Co-Ordinator is a crucial role within Fred Perry’s Planning & Production team, where you will be the champion of all pre-season preparations for the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team.
You are the start point for championing data integrity and accuracy and the driving force for successful pre-season planning. Your preparation and ability to cross communicate with other departments will be the building blocks for the planning team in launching each collection. To facilitate the activities of the planning department through effective time management, scheduling, and monitoring of the department objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Range Reviews:
• Attend range review with planners and Product Development to review the upcoming range, focusing on any qualitative issues which would potentially cause issues with placement or production.
• Use these observations to feed into and present review of the place dates.
Product Placement Dates:
• Each Quarter initiate information gathering relating to product placement schedules for the supply base.
• To provide insights to planners on any issues likely to impact delivery date targets based on the information received from suppliers and observations during range reviews.
• Collaborate and communicate on next steps with Planners, Product Development and Quality based on these findings.
Product/System Catalogue data Management:
• Each quarter be the champion for product catalogue data integrity by collaborating with product development and the planning analyst to identify incorrect data that will have impacts to data quality.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that Critical Path data is up to date and drive deadlines for any outstanding information to ensure product catalogue checks & pricing can commence.
• Drive and maintain system information integrity such as product availability dates, placement dates, supplier/Cost Prices and product completion within AS400.
Salesman Samples (SMS) Process:
• Collaborate with Customer Support and Product Development teams to ensure clarity SMS Allocation to markets, ensuring that the information is reflected clearly in the Critical Path.
• Initiate the collation of SMS Purchase Order document for all product areas and oversee the creation of the Purchase Orders and ensuring they are created accurately.
Extractions:
• Creation of the Master data required to initiate the extraction process.
• Work along side the team to supply extraction documentation for the suppliers as well actioning the required Purchase order creation.
• Support with all post extraction activities.
Label Management:
• Own the label order process – ensuring that label downloads are carried out every week with attention to any specific nuances that need to be applied at any given time.

- Strong communicator both verbally and written.
- Ability to build effective relationships with team and multiple departments across the business.
- Comfortable multi-tasking and managing a variety of activities at once.
- Capacity for self-learning and knowledge building.
- Strong affinity with the brand.
- Previous experience or knowledge in the apparel industry advantageous but not essential.
- Comfortable with reading and using large volumes of data.
- Critical thinking Skills – always looking for opportunities for improvement.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate Microsoft Access
- Excellent communication skills – you will be able to effectively communicate within the department as well as across other areas of the business to achieve departmental goals.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages, particularly Microsoft Excel, at an advanced level.
- A self-starter with a pro-active & collaborative approach
- Attention to detail.
HOURS:
We actively encourage our teams to have a good work/life balance and so we are pleased to offer flexible working shifts at Fred Perry HQ. Our core shift hours are from 10am – 4.30pm and so employees can choose to start and finish early, or start and finish late. (i.e. work 8:00am-4:30pm, or 10:00am-6:30pm etc). We also have 30-minute early finish on Fridays.
As we continue to work in a more flexible way, the Head Office acts a brand hub, where we can all connect and collaborate with one another. This role is a mix of office based (London) and remote working. We will expect the employee to come into the office regularly for face-to-face meetings and to work alongside their team on collaborative projects.
