Senior Footwear Technologist

We are recruiting for a Senior Footwear Technologist to join an established technical team. You will be based in our head office in Clerkenwell and reporting to the Head of Quality and Sustainability.

The Role

  • Update product fit comments and sample feedback, providing technical instructions to the suppliers
  • Updating the critical path from proto sample to bulk production, in conjunction with the product development and production planning team
  • Assist the Technical manager with the fitting and approval of sealing samples and preparing graded size charts for production
  • Managing x2 Technologists
  • Responsible for managing a category, whilst coordinating with suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers and factories to ensure technical issues are resolved and within the best available time frame
  • Assessing final AQL inspection reports, liaising with the production department to facilitate the maintenance of required ex-factory dates

About You

This is a great role for an experienced footwear and accessories technologist, who wishes to broaden their technical knowledge within a brand environment.

  • A basic understanding of footwear fitting, grading, construction and manufacture
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • The ability to effectively communicate across internal departments and external sources, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of fabric, lab testing and assessment of results
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM 
  • Ability to work in structured and timely manner under pressure within a team environment.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. (Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator would be useful)

Our core shift hours are from 8am – 10:00am, i.e. employees can choose to work 8-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm,etc. plus early finish on Friday!
