Our Merchandising team now have an incredible opportunity, for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join their successful team.

This role will be based at our head office in London; however Fred Perry has fully embraced the new world of remote working and flexibility can be offered. With a hybrid of both home and office working.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all stores (Full Price, Off Price and Ecommerce) have the correct stock package and stock to achieve their sales plans.  For future seasons, you will be supporting the merchandiser to plan the buy for full price stores through analysis and range building for the areas of responsibilities. In addition to supporting the merchandiser you will also be responsible for managing the MAA with daily tasks and responsibilities.

The Role

  • Supporting the Merchandising Admin Assistant with Trade reports.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Planning team to discuss any delays with stock.
  • Ensure all analysis is displayed in a timely manner (end of phase and end of season)
  •  Upload prices on for any upcoming season.
  •  Ensure that the planning team receive required buy quantities for retail in the required time scales.
  • Support the merchandiser to produce department plans for the following KPIs: sales markdown profit stock turn and markdown.
  • Work with merchandiser to plan permanent mark-down in line with company strategy.
  • Plan buys quantities for each line based on ROS use historical analysis to support this.
  •  Support the merchandiser to produce monthly terminal stock report for current season.
  • Manage the MAA’s workload to ensure:
    •    All lines are allocated in a timely manner
    •   Replenishment is being run and amended o   Stock consolidations are happening in a timely manner to improve department sell throughs o   Ensure that all continuity lines have 100% availably in store and online for customers
    • Effective execution of day to day tasks though clear task and time management
    • Perform annual appraisal, mid-year reviews and day to day coaching as required

About You

  • Numerate with strong analytical ability.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Proactive and a good time manager.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commercial Awareness – Demonstrate a good understanding of what is happening in the retail market and the impact this may have on our business.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience within a Merchandising role.
