Product Developer - Collaborations

You will be working on special projects and collaborations with external design partners. This includes both menswear and womenswear apparel

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up product packages to send to the factories – including all style information: product description / colors / materials / trims
  • Approve lab dips and strike-offs, communicating comments to each factory
  • Source fabrics and trims with the factories / fabric suppliers as per each designer’s request
  • Negotiate price with factories and ensure proto samples come in on time for fit meetings
  • Attend fit meetings with the garment tech to advise of any product details; updating the tech packs accordingly and communicating back to the factories in a timely manner
  • Responsible for ensuring salesman samples come in on time for the photoshoot and quarterly sales exhibition
  • Set up the style tracker with all product information and maintain the critical path.
  • Work closely with the marketing team on the sales brochure for each quarter.

About You

  • 2 year minimum experience in the industry as a Product Development Assistant / Product Developer or similar role
  • Technical understanding of garment construction to support the product development process
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure to quarterly deadlines
  • Positive and flexible team player
  • Confident communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook essential
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint useful
  • Understanding of Illustrator useful but not essential

Hours and Benefits

We offer flexible working hours to all head office employees. Due to the current situation we are able to consider candidates that wish to work both remotely and in the office.

Our core shift hours are from 8am – 10:00am, i.e. employees can choose to work 8-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm,etc. plus early finish on Friday!
